Write down Bernoulli Equation

Define Mach number, Prandtl

number, Reynodls number, Nusselt
number, Biot number.
• Mach number is ratio of speed of vehicle to speed of sound
• Reynolds number is ratio of inertial forces to viscous forces
• Nusselt number is ratio of forced convection to convective/conductive
heat transfer
• Biot number is ratio of surface conductivity to volume conductivity in
solids

What can be concluded from this?
How to fix the problem?
Is it acceptable for use?

• From the given picture it can be concluded that this contours show stress
of crankshaft. Red areas show high stress, which are the problem for us.
• In order to fix problem a lot of manipulations can be done
• Increasing radiuses near red parts
• Increasing diameter on red part areas
• Changing material to material with better performance
• Changing geometrical configuration via Parametric design
• Etc.

We cant use this result, since it’s values and methods are not presented, it is just a
picture.
Why did Titanic sank 1912 April 14-
15 (don’t write ICEBERG)
• Because back that day, material scientists were using Brittle material
for shipbuilding (Mild Steel, low grade metal), instead of ductile
material (Aluminium).

• Titanics failure, improved shipbuilding forever

• In short MATERIAL FAILURE, not god damn ICEBERG.

• If someone writes Iceberg, stay away from them.
