Analogy| The State Flag of KualaTerengganu

Pesedtrian
The widely used Islamic geometric patterns in Islamic art and 2
architecture is the chosen analogy for the design . Lack of
ample space has led to adapt Islamic patterns, instead of an
Islamic Garden. Because, the garden requires an symmetrical
approach to reflect the ideology of an Islamic landscape.

The 2D Islamic patterns, extensively used in mosques to

gardens, have variety of construction methods, by which
polygons with sides of 3,4,5,6,8,10,12,16, 17, 20, 24, 30, 32,
34, 40, 48, 51, 60, 64, 68, 80, 85, 96, 102, 120... and so on can
be drawn.

Five point geometry

The five point geometry has been chosen as the State Flag
and the Coat of arms of Terengganu, displays a crescent and a

Concept | Schematic Design| Pedestrian
The state of Terengganu is known by it’s Arabic honorific -“ walk
Darul Iman”, which means “ Abode of Faith”. Terengganu was
the first Malay state to receive Islam. To reflect the belief ,

behind them form and re-form in an endless profusion.

As the Arabic patterns are running patterns; they extend Water feature \

rules governing Islamic illustration and decoration, produces
