- Displays good balance by standing in ready position, feet shoulder width apart.
- Able to track the pickleball with eyes.
- Able to differentiate between how to strike the pickleball on the forehand and backhand of the paddle.
- Able to demonstrate proper grip 5 out of 5 times.
- Able to demonstrate proper forward swing of paddle when striking forehand and backhand 5 out of 5
times.
- Displayed a positive attitude throughout the lesson.
- Student strikes to a far target on the court 2 out of 5 times.
- Student strikes to a near target on the court 2 out of 5 times.
- Student strikes to the left side of the court 4 out of 10 attempts.
- Student strikes to the right side of the court 3 out of 10 attempts.

*Goal(s):
1.0 Students will be able to differentiate between striking to a near vs. far target, by
correctly striking into the diagonal service box on the court 7 out of 10 attempts and NASPE GRLO
striking to a near target, the non volley area on the court 7 out of 10 attempts.
2.0 Students will be able to strike with accuracy by successfully serving the pickleball into
the left service box at least 80% of their 10 attempts, and the right service box on the NASPE GRLO
court at least 80% of their 10 attempts.

The student will be able to:

Students will be able to differentiate between striking to a near and far target, by correctly striking into either
diagonal service box on the court 4, 5, 6 out of 10 attempts and striking to the near target, the non volley area
or the net on the court 4, 5, 6 out of 10 attempts, when prompted by the teacher.
2.1
Students will be able to strike with accuracy by attempting to serve the pickleball anywhere on the left side of
the court at least 20%, 40% of their 10 attempts, and anywhere on the right side of the court at least 20%,
40% of their 10 attempts, when prompted by the teacher.
