Article 1-
Name

1.1 ​The name of the organization shall be the Northwest Robotics

Boosters

Article 2 -
Charter

2​.1 ​The Northwest Robotics Boosters is a group of individuals collectively

interested in supporting
​ the movement to achieve excellence in robotics.

2​.2 ​The purpose of the Northwest Robotics Boosters is to promote and support the
Northwest Robotics K-12 program through full cooperation with school officials, the
district coordinator, and the Robotics coaching staff.

2.3 ​The objectives of the organization shall be:

a. To encourage and support all robotics


participants

b. To assist in the financial support in the robotics


program

C. To support the developmen​t ​of robotic knowledge skills, teamwork and


sportsmanship.

d. To promote and communicate the va​l​ue of knowledge, sportsmanship


and school pride.

Article 3 -
Policy

3.1 ​The organization and all its activities will support and be consistent with

Northwest school policies.

3​.​2 ​The organization shall be non-commercial and non-profit. It will not endorse

a commercial
​ product or candidate. The names of the members in their official
capacity shall not be used in any connection with a commercial enterprise or
any other partisan interest.

Article 4 - Membership

4.1 The Northwest Robotics Boosters is a pro-active group of individuals. Every


member is encouraged to participate collectively with the other members of the
Robotics Boosters ​sponsored activity.

Membership is open to any individual who has a student participating in Northwest


Mountie Robotics. ​Members must support the purpose and objective of the
Northwest Robotics Boosters and are ​willing to uphold its policies and
by-laws.

4.3 ​No member shall be granted special privileges, regardless of his/her office

in the organization.

Article 5 -
Officers

5.1 ​Officers shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer,


Chairperson
and
Trustees.

5.2 Term​s ​of office shall be two (2) calendar years for President, and Treasurer
offices. One (1) calendar year for Vice President, Secretary, Chairperson, and
Trustees. Calendar year is defined, following the school calendar​.

5.3 ​Officers shall be elected by a majority in attendance at the September meeting,

and take office


​ immediately.

5.4 ​A vacancy in any term of office shall be filled for the unexpired term by a

person nominated
​ by the floo​r ​and voted on by majority of those in
attendance.

Article 6 -
Organization

6​.1 ​Organizational structure shall consist of ​a ​committee of the whole.


Sub-committees may
​ be formed to undertake special projects.

6.2 The Northwest Robotics Boosters will remain a non-profit organization


forever.

Article 7 - Meetings

7.1 ​The meeting schedule shall be published annually as determined by the President
and voted on at the September meeting.

​ ​Additional
7​.2 meetings may be held at the direction of the officers, or by a vote of

the membership
​ ​present a​t ​a regular general meeting.

7.3 ​Meeting
conduct shall be governed by the Roberts Rules of Order where
appropriate. However, ​general informality is adopted in every instance possible to
encourage free expression of all ​members.

Article 8 - Governing
Rules

8.1 ​Voting at regular general meetings is cast by the general membership. All

votes shall
​ be decided ​by a voting majority, one more than 50% of those casting.

8.2 ​Approval to disperse funds may only be made at regularly scheduled

meetings.

8.3 ​Pr​ior to voting on funds dispersal for such items as equipment, money,
e​tc​..., this organization sha​l​l seek the input and consultation from the District
Coordinator and coaches​.
Article 9 - Amendments

9.1 ​This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds (​2/3) v


​ ote of t​h​e members
present a​t ​a​ny ​regular meeti​n​g, providing that three-fourths (3/4) of officers
vote to amend and notice of the ​proposed ch​an​ges have been given at the previous
meeting.

Article 10 - Dissolution
Clause

If the Northwest Robotics Boosters shall ever dissolve all real property and assets
shall revert back to Blackman Charter Township of Michigan.
