2.1 Present Continuous

1) Add –ing to the verbs and put them in the correct box.

2) Describe briefly your daily routine. Take into account, adverbs of frequency and

the present simple.

I wake up very early in the morning, usually around six. I get up immediately and go to the bathroom, I shower, brush
my teeth, dry my hair and comb my hair. Then, I go back to my room and get dressed. I work every day with my
uncles in a store, I always like to arrive early, I sometimes eat dinner at my house, I never go to the park with my
friends to eat ice cream and have fun.

2.1 Past Continuous

Exercises

1) Put the verbs in brackets into the past continuous

A: What was happening (happen) at the time of the robbery?

B: Well, I was sitting (sit) in my office. I was talking (talk) to an employee.

Some of the staff were putting (put) food onto the shelves. Several customers

till?

Hello, I am Luis Fernando

I am going to Barranquilla, I am going to buy my tickets tomorrow. I`m pretty sure, I`m going to fly into Bogota on the
6th of April, and I am going to stay in a hotel in the city center. I am going to spend some time in the library. So, I am
going to eat a lot of delicious cakes and more, after two weeks, on the 19 th of April, I am going to fly home. It`s going to
be an exciting trip!. In five years I will be a humble person, I want to be a responsible and secure person of my same, I want
to improve my way to express me, I want to be perseverant to any situation, I want to give and receive love, I want to be a
friendly. Professionally, I want to be a professional teacher, because I like to teach others.
