ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Survey is an excellent tool for learning and exploration. No classroom routine can
substitute which is possible while working in real situations. Application of theoretical
knowledge to practical situations is the bonanza of this survey.

Without a proper combination of inspection and perspiration, it’s not easy to achieve
anything. There is always a sense of gratitude, which we express to others for the help
and the needy services they render during the different phases of our lives. I too would
like to do it as I really wish to express my gratitude toward all those who have been
helpful to me directly or indirectly during the development of this project.

I would like to thank my project guide MISS.TARUNA who was always there to help and
guide me when I needed help. His perceptive criticism kept me working to make this
project more full proof. I am thankful to her for his encouraging and valuable support.
Working under her was an extremely knowledgeable and enriching experience for me.

Above all I shall thank my friends who constantly encouraged and blessed me so as to
enable me to do this work successfully.

ABSTRACT SUMMARY

Marketing and Promotion

In today’s scenario the marketing has become one of the most important aspect of any company
because marketing department is the department which brings the most of the revenues to the
company. If a company is manufacturing a product, it is very good in quality and performance
but is not purchased by customers in the market then that product is of no benefit to the
company. So after production it is must that the products are sold properly in the market. This is
possible through using effective marketing strategies. Also nowadays customers are very much
aware, they want value for the money, so they demand only the products which are suitable to
their needs. So again the marketing department comes into play for effective research like what
exactly the customers want, from where they prefer to purchase, what modifications are required
etc.
