Ans1. I feel that the main problem in this case is the mismatch in the expectations between
Ameesha Gupta and the organization ‘Xciting’. There is lack of the level of maturity that is
needed when joining such a big organization but is not present in a fresh graduate. An example
of this immaturity is shown in the case that she decided to work in the company for more than 5
years based in her just 1 year of experience in the company. This shows that she is immature in
her decision making skill. She also refused to call herself an IT professional which shows that
she is still in her engineering mindset and denied the acceptance of reality. Another problem that
I saw is that she didn’t like change or the transition from her training to the deployment as she
was hesitant to go to new place as she got used to the environment at the training office.

Ans2. Comprehensive introspection can be done through Ameesha’s annual review meeting to
clear the blurred picture of her career. This meeting could be a turning point in her career which
would help her pursue what she really wants. She was always afraid of changes; hence should
learn how to deal with them. The lack of managerial communication which she felt when an
impossible task was assigned to her, should be sorted out to keep a healthy relationship between
the employee and the company which would help her get reassurance and attachment for the
company. There should be improvements in socialization practices within the team which would
increase chances of dividing work evenly and hence increase productivity.
