In our

textbook, it states that social movements are simply “organized groups that strive to work toward

a common social goal” (Introduction to Sociology 480). I used this meme because of the group o

people standing around Patrick. This is kind of how social movements start, there is one leader

who kind of rallies people around the cause, and before you know it, a social movement is born.
