Similarity: Syrup and Mucilage are used as a vehicle and is very prone to bacteria build up because it
contains water.
Difference: Syrup has water and sucrose mixed as their solvent while mucilage makes use of gum and
water as their solvent; Syrup functions as a sweetening agent while Mucilage acts as a suspending
agent.
