2.Point source and non-point source pollution?

Point source can define as pollutant coming from single point of the area. This substance
will give harmful on single element on the area only and will not spread to another pollution
compare to non-point source. For example, industrial revolution that cause worse effect on
environment such as air pollution from smoke emission from industry and throw toxic on water
that cause water pollution. This source of pollution will cause harmful on our environment and
affected on food chain.

Non point pollution normally happen on urban and suburban area. Non point source
occur when water runoff moves across the land and pickup on ground particle, sediment and
trash from human activity and natural. This will pollutant on road, land and deposited into lakes,
rivers and groundwater. Sediment and particle collect form the water can degrade water quality
that can increase water ph and can give effect on aquatic life. Runoff water always increase also
because of human activity such deforestation that will cause runoff water in the area. This
happen because trees have many functions on the land such as act as a soil stabilizer and prevent
water and soil erosion. Its roots deepen and improve the soil, and the shade it provides facilitates
ecosystem metabolism. These functions are essential for ensuring the soil stability. In conclusion
we need to improve our handling on environment to avoid pollution happen that will give bad
impact on our ecosystem.
