Steel Drums Project

Experience design:

This experience will take place at an elementary school in my second block of student teaching.
The purpose is to learn more about how to play the steel drum, to explore and create music with
their peers. This experience will begin by teaching 3-5th graders a variety of songs to acclimate
them to the new instrument! The ultimate goal is to have students feel more comfortable playing
the steel drum and to work together as a class. This will be
an engaging activity, where students will develop their steel
drumming skills and will learn to work together as a class to
create music!

Rationale:

This steel drumming jam allows students to have a space to
