Analysis of a Current Event Article

The chosen current event article encompasses means on how to identify biasness in news

articles from the perspective of journalist's roles of involving public opinions. News anchors,

media owners, journalists, editors among others may incorporate their views in the news articles

they present in their decisions on current affairs, determination of the worth of their news,

speculating the press reports and the actual presentation. The communication must contain

deliberate or intentional human bias useful enough on peoples' decisions and beliefs. It is thus

essential to identify these biases because it is not only vital to readers but also the journalists in

the assessment and reflection of their work.

Definition of these points of view is through assessment of the frequency of the chosen

language in newspapers and the patterns involved and the stories that capture political issues and

parties. Selection bias examination then follows, which is about how much a newspaper article

has covered about political parties and issues. It involves a look at the number of times a political

party appears and the quoting of politicians. Related political work is also engaged and various

political articles from newspapers and blogs like the Bitterlemon political blog.

The point of view originated from an obsession of outlining a certain kind of media bias

specifically on political terms on the choices dealing with the affiliation. It is all because news

articles are supposed to incorporate truth on matters relating to their political position and the

challenges they face. Therefore, political media slants are essential to the achievement of this

goal. The significant discovery that is looking at a large number of stories that is in the news

outlet coverage on specific parties and the positive or negative manner in which political parties

actions presented with critics or agreement to their remarks.

Assumptions to this article are that social media users take a significant role in the

diffusion of information rather than the media slant influencing them. An excellent example of

this is tweeter users who openly present their opinions to other posts. Bias to this is that political

issues are unexpected is in academic papers and if found are considered misplaced — biased

words in sentences identified through detecting them in Wikipedia articles by framing and

epistemological manners.

Other points of view on this issue are that political ideologies should be through a look on

document level and sentence level. It is because news articles are written on different aspects like

conservatives, democrats, and liberal and among others. Detecting bias in political issues can

also be done by focusing on different people disputed topics such as how reporters present them

from their different opinions. It is related to leaning on politics, where there are conflicting ideas.

To sum up, the means to identify political bias in the newspapers are imminent. It can be

possible through a look at the bias indicators. Bias media detection is not only about discovery

but also of many aspects. It can also be through media analysis which is of help to understand the

information travel, change and general opinions change to individuals all about the diffusion of

information. Media shapes the general public opinion, and thus this is the reason as to why the

article focused more on the detection of bias selection.
