EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION SOP

All offers of employment at One Co.Work are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background
check. Background checks will be conducted on offered candidate.

1. Objectives • To ensure that the current or former


employee is or was employed by the
organization.

2. Scope • Information about the employee's


performance and potential rehire are often
requested. It is also not unusual for the
employment verification to request the
employee's specific history of job
responsibilities, title, and salary history, in
addition to the current or most recent
employment information.

3. Types of check • Social Security Verification: validates the


applicant's PAN Card, Aadhar card, Form 16,
date of birth and former addresses.

• Prior Employment Verification: confirms


applicant's employment with the listed
companies, including dates of employment,
Designation and additional information
available pertaining to performance rating,
reason for exit and eligibility for rehire. This
verification will be run on the past two
employers, if applicable.
• References Check: HR will call to individuals
listed as references by the applicant.

• Educational Verification: HR will confirms


the applicant's claimed educational
institution, including the years attended and
the degree/diploma received.

• Criminal History: Online Police Verification


needs to be applied before Joining.

4. Procedures • Offered candidate must complete a


background check authorization form and
return it to Human Resources.
• The HR representative will notify the hiring
manager regarding the results of the check.
• In instances where negative or incomplete
information is obtained, the Management
will assess the potential risks and liabilities
related to the job's requirements and
determine whether the individual should be
hired.
• Background check information will be
maintained in a file separate from
employees' personnel files.

5. Exceptions & Violations: • Any exception to this SOP should be


approved by Management.
