Rewatch Ruckus – The video about Jesse and Frank carrying out the ‘Great Train Robbery’.

The aim for this week is to have completed a Film Review on Ruckus by Friday. We will be writing
ONE paragraph each day. I will provide you with what you need to include for each
paragraph.
Students at school on Thursday last week, try to remember your introduction and aim to
improve.

 Vibe/feeling. This film made me feel…
 This film can be described as….
 Impact on viewer

CLASS EXAMPLE (from a different short film)

I have recently watched the short film Broken: rock, paper, scissors produced by ______ in 2013.
This film was emotionally draining as you go through the movements of rock and paper working
together to defeat scissors. This film had elements of fantasy, romance and friendship, and
made me feel empathy towards rock as all he wanted was a friend.
Religion
For Religion you only need to submit the reflection from step 4.
Start each Religion session by writing prayer intentions for the day.

Over the next week of Religion sessions we will be focusing on different days that are
celebrated in Holy Week. Holy Week begins on the 5th April and continues to Easter Sunday. The
days we will explore are: Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter
Sunday.

Today we will focus on Holy Thursday. Holy Thursday falls on April 9th.
1. Read the information below:
On Holy Thursday, Christians remember the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples. During the Last
Supper, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples to teach them to show love for others.
2. Watch the video showing the story of the Last Supper:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SigoALSS1R8 and read the Gospel passage John
13:1-15 (you can find this online at:
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=john+13%3A1-15&version=GNT)
3. The video and the gospel each focus on a different part of the Last Supper – what did
the video focus on? What was the focus of John’s gospel?
4. Write a reflection in your Religion journal: “How do you think Jesus felt as he ate his last
meal with his friends?” Add pictures of key moments from the Last Supper (eg. Jesus
washing his disciples feet)
Mathematics

This week in Maths you will be using data and graphs to run a circus carnival.
1. Create a poster to display the name of your circus/carnival. Decorate it and make it

tables need to be completed in lead pencil and using a ruler.

Picture graphs use relevant pictures to display data. Sometimes pictures can represent more
than one object so always check the key. The x-axis runs horizontal and the y-axis runs vertically.

Start each Religion session by writing prayer intentions for the day.

On Good Friday, Christians remember that Jesus suffered and was made to carry his cross up
the hill where he was nailed to it. On Good Friday, the Church gathers to kneel at the cross of
Jesus to pay honour to it. The Cross is inseparable from the sacrifice of Jesus, in honouring the
Cross people are honouring Jesus who died to bring new life.
2. Watch the video showing the Good Friday story:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HL8R158Ujp4
Praying the Stations of the Cross is a Lenten tradition, it can be completed as an individual or a
group. Often, the Stations of the Cross is an action prayer. Catholics walk to the fourteen
stations of the Way of the Cross and stop to pray each one. The stations can be displayed
outside in a park but are usually found inside churches (Loyola Press)
1. Access: https://media.loyolapress.com/assets/lent/stations-eng/stations-eng.html to
spend some time praying the Stations of the Cross. If the website doesn’t work a
hardcopy is attached. Draw a small picture to represent each station.
