Example:
Justice and Hardy (2001) examined the relationship of undergraduate GPA, gender, ethnicity,
and reading scores to the performance of 39 minority teacher education students who took the
professional development section of the Examination for the Certification of Educators in Texas (ExCET). Using a multiple
regression procedure, undergraduate GPA and reading scores were examined as predictors of
ExCET test scores. It was further revealed that the undergraduate GPA was a significant but weak
predictor of performance on the ExCET.
