1. President
a. SILT
i. Overlap with SPED
1. Putting together course adoption for learning center
2. Talked about procedure with Chris
a. Spoke about how teachers are put on SILT committee
b. Stephanie brought up to Ron in regard to procedure
c. Pondo denied access to rewrite a new course for AG Science
b. Governor's Budget
i. Workshop presented 3% cola down to 2.2.9%
ii. Money going to SELPA
iii. Large chunk of money to teacher training and SPED
iv. Budget not finalized till May
v. State is in declining enrollment
1. Moves us to test 1 category
a. Amount of money per pupil should increase over next few
years
2. Growth to 3%, 2% , 2%
c. Survey
i. Make sure teachers are filling out.
1. Comments are not given to principals
2. Superintendent will put them together to present to each principal
d. Nurse
i. District hired a new nurse
1. Not a school nurse
2. No employee information yet.
3. Working at union mine with an individual student
e. Budget
i. Budget committee meetings
1. First meeting Wednesday
2. Superintendent assures he is doing everything to save money
a. May spend money for an IB program
3. Kristen Bowyer will represent El Dorado

i. Numbers will be tight
1. District might try to not hire to replace those teachers.
a. That can create possible movement in the district.

a. El Dorado has great programs
b. Lance was recognized for Toy Shop
c. Audit complete for last year

1. El Dorado
a. Remediation schedule adopted
i. Multiple options
ii. Teachers feel like it’s still an extra period
2. Independence
a. Still want to push a teacher over her SPED cap and have students managed by
another site.

3. OakRidge
a. Collapsed a math class
b. Coordinator position not forseen
c. Librarian concerned she will need to open library early
4. Ponderosa
a. Clarify the connections coordinator
i. Coordinator positions must be negotiated
ii. It’s not being flown to teachers to apply for coordinator position for bruin
success pd.
iii. Cannot just appoint a teacher
5. Union Mine
a. Keeping an eye on uneven numbers for teacher meetings
b. Priority period
i. Day 2-scanners for taking attendance
ii. Common areas for students was overflowing
c. Home and hospital issue
i. Asked for grades from H&H teacher for student they’d never seen.

d. Phone bank and precinct walk


i. 4 people did the precinct walk

a. Issue with titles of remediation
b. Possible change of name to virtual academy

7. State Council--Lance
a. Serving on CTE committee
b. Make recommendations on political candidates

i. NEA trying to repeal that we don’t get social security
ii. Senate bill 796
1. Guarantee full salary while on medical leave
iii. Fixing old Prop 13
1. Brings 12 million to schools

1. Ed Code implies we should be able to see the record
2. Once we can see discipline records of our students we lose ability to see
records of other students.

i. Motion to move to Angela’s name
c. Joint Retirement Celebration
i. Superintendent has proposed a joint celebration for retirees with classified and
certificated.

d. CalSTRS Session April 20 (8 of 12 spots for individual already taken)
i. Someone within 2 years of retirement
ii. 4-6 for all group B3
