Instructional Resource 3: Restaurant Sanitation Information Poster

Directions for Restaurant Sanitation Information Poster:

1. Use the internet to access local health department websites and locate restaurant
sanitation scores under the Environmental Health section.
2. Students will look up a restaurant they frequent and look at the sanitation report for
that establishment.
3. Students will familiarize themselves with violations and critical violations as they
relate to sanitation reports and scores for restaurants.
4. Students will create a poster discussing the importance of restaurant sanitation. The
poster will include: Type of restaurant, sanitation scores for the past three inspections,
at least three pictures related to sanitation in restaurants, and seven accurate facts
related to food safety and sanitation.
