Question

1a and b

Many candidates produced excellent responses and gained full marks, but many had evidently not
studied the concepts probably taking it as ordinary level stuff and were left to guess at what the answer
could possibly be.

Question 2

Some very good responses, the question was open to the candidates as they would take the users as either
the customers or as bank workers or users of the system so most of the students got it right .

Question 3

a) Well answered most candidates where able to give the elements that are captured by the sensors .
b) i)Feedback Very much Centre based. The majority of candidates could not describe feedback
especially applying to the given scenario but a few centres managed to describe feedback using the
given scenario Candidates needed to improve their understanding of feedback.

ii) input from user It was also centre based and candidates who managed to collect all the two
marks would also have done well on the feedback part .

Question 11

a) A number of candidates confused intranet with internet a few candidates managed to collect the
two marks .
b) This question was well answered most candidates collected all the three marks for the question .
The majority of candidates where just applying the advantages of internet to the question which
was also amounting to correct answers.
C) I) CSMA/CD Most students where got the question wrong as they where giving the
explanation of CSMA/CA
ii) Token passing This question was answered well.

d)
i) For part (di ) there were many points which could have been made and the majority of candidates
scored two marks out of the three .
ii) Most of the candidates managed to raise one point out of the three needed points which was holding
data that is currently being processed they left out points as results of calculation being held there and
how the contents change during fetch execute cycle .
ii) Most candidate failed to collect the maximum points they most only knew what it holds and failed to
explain when the contents are incremented and how the contents change the jump instruction or the
interrupt
