BASIC AUTOCAD

COMMANDS

SOME AUTOCAD COMMANDS
L – Used for making simple lines.
C – used for making circles in AutoCAD
PL – Used to make Polyline
REC – to make rectangles
CO – Used to copy object(s) in AutoCAD
ARRAY – used to make rectangle, polar or path array
TR- Used for trimming a geometry
B- Used to Create AutoCAD blocks
X – used to Explode objects like Polylines, array or blocks.
SOME AUTOCAD COMMANDS
LA – Used to open layer properties manage palette to work with Layers
ARC – Used to make an Arc in AutoCAD
LTSCALE – Used to change the scale of Lines in a drawing
I – Used to insert already existing block in a drawing
DIM – This works from AutoCAD 2016 which helps you create Dimensions
UN – Used to set to units before starting a project
PURGE – Used to remove unused named objects like layers, blocks and
dimensions styles from the drawing.
LAYDEL – This is used to delete layers in a drawing.
KEYBOARD SHORTCUT KEYS
CTRL + N – Used to open a new drawing in AutoCAD
CTRL + S – Used to Save a drawing file
CTRL + 2 – Used to open design center palette which contains many AutoCAD
blocks to be used directly in a drawing
CTRL – Y – Used to Redo the last undo action
CTRL – Tab – Used to cycle through all drawing tabs in AutoCAD
