Issue / Concerns
Board and through our
Property Management Office
(PMO) can assure us that we
are compliant with the most
current and transparent

protocol information from our
local City government and City
Health Office (CHO) pertaining
to the ECQ implementing rules
and health protocols issued by
the CHO that covers COVID19
PUMs and PUIs staying in the
building.
The specific measures that the
PMO has put in place to
mitigate the spread of the
virus in our residence and
2 increase the safety and well
being of our residents.
CPIs Response / Facts
The Association thru the Board and
Property Management Team ARE
MORE THAN COMPLIANT with ALL
protocol information issued by DOH,
Mandaluyong City Health Officials,
and Barangay Health Officer.
Long before the declaration of the
Quarantine, the following were done
/ implemented in Cityland Pioneer
Condominium:
1. Plastic Covers were placed
over Call Buttons, inside and
outside the Elevators;
2. Plastics were replaced every
other day. Starting on the
heightened virus alert, the
plastic covers are replaced
daily. They are cleaned,
sanitized and disinfected
EVERY HOUR;
3. Thermal Scanning was
implemented, again long
before the imposition of its
use;
4. Alcohol hand wash were in
placed in conspicuous places;
5. General Cleaning of all
common area ceilings, walls
and floors (hospital grade)
were done;

For the declared PUM
a.1 Did the CPI

Declaration Form and submit
a copy to the Mandaluyong
City Health as an exercise to
be done as our DOH? What is
the official date of reporting?
6. All common amenities for
mass gathering and
distancing (gym, swimming
pool, function area and Play
grounds) were closed, even
before the City advised its
recommended closures;
7. The Association performed a
“hospital type” of sanitizing
by doing a general cleaning
of ALL COMMON AREAS from
Roof deck down to the
Basements areas;
8. After the general cleaning, a
thorough sanitation using a
special aerial misting were
done again ON ALL COMMON
AREAS;
9. Items 7 and 8 were repeated,
and will be done again, and
again, if necessary;

The Declaration Form is not a 2012 states that the
requirement per DOH guidelines. It concern person should

The Association and Property
Management had in fact went out of
its way to monitor all residents,
especially those coming from abroad,
and as a result of thermal scanning.
As soon as the Association and/or
H&D Property Management Team
receives any PUI PUM health
information, the City and Barangay
Health Office are informed, upon
receipt.
But again, this is over and above
what is required by DOH and the
laws on such disclosure by the
concerned individuals to Health
authority.

confined in a hospital due to
pneumonia) about the other
occupants (who are potential
PUMs themselves) staying in
the same unit? If yes, how

The Association or Property
Management is not aware of any
PUM who was on “self-quarantine
THEN” prior to 15 March 2020.
The fact is there was NO PUM at CPI
as of 14 March 2020.
The Association or Property
Management may keep track of PUIs
and PUMs, but the ultimately legal
information is with the City Health.

The Association and the Property
Management is not obligated to

However, the Association and
Property Managers had done more
than what was required to sanitize
the common areas.
ALL PUMs are being monitored by
the City Health Officer.
Issuance of Clearance is within the
authority of DOH and City Health.
It is also their prerogative to inform
the Association of not.

will it affect the PUMs
classification plus any other
individuals staying with the
PUM (if any)?
A covid patient, especially if not
present in CPI is not under any
obligation to report or declare health
status to the CPI administration.
This is a classified information that
only the DOH and City Health Officials
are privy to.
This is a classified information that
the Association and Property
Management cannot confirm or deny
or divulge.
As earlier stated with or without
PUM/s, the Association and Property
Management had done a lot of
precautionary and sanitation
efforts.
There is no PUIs or PUMs at the start
of the ECQ.
The Association and Property
Management has information given
to it, but cannot usurp or know more
than what the DOH and City Health is
lawfully doing.
Again, this is information not within
the authority of the Association.
The DOH, City Health and/or hospital
are the authorized institutions who
has got the information.
Protocol is the Association follows
the DOH AND CITY HEALTH
directives.
But what is important, is that CPI
has done everything needed to keep
CPI premises clean, sanitized and
disinfected.

 Help us know what are the
best ways to deal with this
very real danger in our
building. Let us do what our
government has asked us to
do to fulfill whatever legal and
health requirements and
reporting to keep not just our
CPI community safe but to
lessen the spread of the virus
outside the building.
“IT TAKES ONLY ONE TO
CONTAMINATE A CITY”
And more importantly
Let us Pray for all of us to be safe.

The Association and the Property
Management has done, in fact more
than what should be done in this
situation. There is no real and
immediate danger to anyone.
Everything is being done to help
abate the spread the virus in the
building.
The real solution is with the
individual residents. They should
keep calm and stay in their units.
If there is a dire need to go out of
their unit, wear mask and gloves, and
observe proper social distancing.
The real danger and enemy is FEAR.
Digest information, and decide which
is true and false. Do not aid in sowing
fear by passing on unverified,
confirmed and misleading
information.
This statement is very true.
Let us all do our part to stop this virus
from spreading.
The foremost threat to the
community and individual, within and
inside CPI has been addressed with
general cleaning and sanitation. Not
on an every other day basis but,
more than 2-3 times a day.
Stay Home. Wear Mask and gloves
and maintain social distancing.
Let us not sow FEAR and STAY CALM
during the Enhanced Community
Quarantine.
