Long Questions

1. The answers may vary.

i) "Click!" That's the sound of safety. The opening sentence suggests the sign being safe
when wearing the seat belt.

ii) But, you are also more likely to die or suffer serious injuries. If you are wearing a seat
belt, you have to stay in your seat.

iii) You are much less likely to get seriously injured if you are wearing one. So why not
take the safer way?

2. The purpose of the writer in the second paragraph is again to persuade and convince
the readers to use the safety belt. To support his point of view, he gives an example of a
car crash in which the car is moving at 60 MPH and crashes. He says if you are wearing a
safety belt, you are likely less to be harmed.

3. Yes, I strongly agree that the write is more interested in being safe. The following text
shows his concern: Wearing a seat belt does not make you invincible. You can still get
hurt or killed while wearing your seat belt. But wearing them has proven to be safer than
driving without them.
