Senior Engineer – Turbine Direct Bought out Division

Triveni Turbine Ltd. is a leading industrial steam turbine manufacturer, with a dominant market share of over 75%
in India. Over 5,000 steam turbines supplied by Triveni have been installed across 18 industries in over 70
countries, in Europe, Africa, Central & Latin America, SE Asia and SAARC countries. It manufactures turbines of
capacity ranges from 500 Kw to 180 Mw & also supplies all bought outs required for power house in sugar plants,
paper industries & cement industries.

Material Procurement & Supply Chain Management Group:

➢ Monthly ‘Material planning, scheduling & procurement’ of 300 items from different commodities for
Turbine bought outs.
➢ Handling Purchase order (PO) generation in SAP, generating schedules (PO) to respective suppliers.
➢ Daily Follow up & guidance to suppliers for on time delivery of materials.
➢ Procuring all type of quality material at right time with competitive prices
Vendor Development & Sourcing Group:
➢ Developed alternate cost effective Vendors for GVC, FFRV & Rupture disc.
➢ Given Floating inquiries & received quotation, Negotiated Rate, finalized prize with suppliers.
➢ Guidance to supplier for process cost, process time reduction
➢ Coordinated with R&D, Engineering & Quality departments for inspection & assessment of newly
developed parts & vendors.

of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability.
➢ Conducting supplier qualification audits and implementing supplier approval process that will lead to
consistent and reliable vendor base.
➢ Planning & carrying out process & quality audits at vendor’s end and to monitor trends.
➢ Inviting offers from vendors, evaluating techno-commercially and awarding purchase orders / work
contracts after negotiation.

➢ Reduced pre-commissioning time by implementing rust preventive Nitrogen gas in shell of GVC before dispatch
to site & pressure gauge on shell of GVC to ensure presence of Nitrogen gas.
➢ Repeatedly occurring quality issue sorted out. Found out process error in bellow manufacturing, guided supplier
& ensured dimensional quality as required by assembly.
➢ Developed new vender for GVC, FFRV, Rupture Disc & Expansion Bellow.
