The Center for Autism & Related Disorders (CARD) is a The Children & Youth with Special Health Care Needs program
center through The Kennedy Krieger Institute. This is a joint federal/state & local program. The Talbot County
center provides Sharing Treatment & Autism Resources Health Department’s CYSHCN Program provides a range of
(STAR) trainings for parents & family members of those services designed to address needs of anyone from birth-21 with
a disability, chronic illness or health related, educational or

Family Support Attend a SECAC Meeting The Judy Center

The family support & resource center is set up "...to provide
active help and/or encouragement, to provide assistance or
comfort to someone...". TCPS offers 1:! meetings to discuss
any questions about IEP's & referalls to any additonal outside
support. Book & DVD resources are also available.
Talbot County established, SECAC (Special Education Citizen's Services are offered to any child from birth-kindergarten that
Advisory Committee), to seek meaningful input from parents, lives within the Easton Elementary School attendance area. The
community partners, service providers, educators, & Judy Center provides library/literacy services, in-school health
administrators on local issues & to facilitate positive changes in services, home visit health & developmental services, support
the delivery of special education services & the achievement of groups, & various family trainings.
