How might a cereal manufacturer such as Kellogg’s use the j.n.d. for Frosted
Flakes in terms of:
1) Product decisions
Kellogg can make a slight difference in the composition that need a
minimal difference as compare to Kellogg’s previous product.

2) Packaging decisions
The cover must be made looking in the last covering with less changes
in printing so that customers cannot get confuse while finding the new
packing.

3) Advertising decisions
Kellogg must mention in their ads that they have made a new look so
that it creates awareness prior to visiting the store, which can create an ease
for customers.

4) Sales promotion decisions


Sales promotion should be done by the same team that did previously
the promotion so that they can know their customers and customers know them
too.

1) What products might be purchased using rational and emotional


motives?
Ans) In rational motive, we must focus on our need and then buy if
there is no need to buy a product, so the rational motive will urge us not
to buy the product.
In emotional motive, we must not compete with others and we should
make purchase in accordance with our money we have and made
decisions accordingly.

2) What marketing strategies are effective when there are combined motives?
Ans) Providing the best must be the goal in general and in using the combined
motive, specifically in combined motive, we must introduce the product that is
suitable in the current trend and demand of people.
If you are operating in advanced country we must follow the trends where there
is no restrictions.
