2 minutes Have the YouTube movement video ready as another tab. Greet the
students at the door saying with the usual call and response "Eyes
to the- front! Hands in the- Back! Lips are-Closed!” Everyone gets a
little hand sanitizer as they walk in and they sit on their designated
row. I say “Feet, Hands, Lips together” and then use the drum and
say “Who’s ready for some fun music?” (3 second fun party)
Students say: “I am! I am!” Play the ascending 5 note pattern on
the piano which is the “everybody up” music. Then play the c
major chord for the students to spread out on their rows.
Movement activity - Play gotta feeling just dance video. After, play
the c major chord again so the students come back to the center.
Play descending 5 note pattern marked on the piano which is the
“everybody down" music. Iterate the expectations before the
lesson. Say title of the lesson, purpose, and objective. Have
3 minutes students say Solfege. Explain that solfege is what we say to
represent a sound. Pronounce words and show hand signs for the
sounds (give me a do fist bump). If you look at the notes on the
screen, there are notes below the staff. We remember that the
staff is made up of 5 lines and 4 spaces. If notes can be below the
35 minutes staff, notes can also be _above the staff. These lines that make the
staff longer are called ledger lines. Have students say ledger lines.
This bottom note says C, what is this top note (C). What is the
difference between these two C’s? Start from a low C and move up
to a Higher C. When we do our hand signs, we move them higher
and higher. Why do you think our hand signs should move higher
when we are singing those notes. Voice and hands match, both are
ascending aka going up. Stand up and do preschool prodigies video. Evaluate their answers, Watch hand signs,
Sing do mi sol. Here we have the C below the staff on a _ledger listen to pitches
line. Then the note hops to line 1 and then to line 2 Play do mi sol
on piano and sing. Go to slide with multiple variations of do mi sol.
Ask where does it start, and where itgoes. Do every box with
students with hand signs. Have them split up into think space with
four people. I sing one of the boxes and they have to figure out
which one it is. Watch where the hand signs move to help you. Have
other students do thumbs up or down after answer is said. If
students get it wrong, have them identify where it starts and where
it goes.

Closure Procedures: Go over objectives and ask students to line up

on the 2nd step not past the filing cabinet (using walking feet) They
1 minute do the Eyes, Hands, Lips mantra and exit quietly

(try throwing ball in classes when they answer a question)
