reading is difficult.
• 8/18 students reported that reading is boring.
• How does student’s attitudes about reading
effect them in later grades?
• 43% of Fifth graders did not pass the Science
FCAT.
• My first-grade classroom library is not very
diverse or representative of the identities in
my classroom.
