General Problem
This research aims to identify the reading Interest and Habits of Grade 6 students’ as a
Basis for Targeted Reading Intervention Material
Specifically it aims to answer the following questions:
1. What is the demographic profile of the Grade 6 students in terms of:
1.1 Age;
1.2 Grade Level;
1.3 Gender?
2. What is the Academic Performance of Grade 6 Students at IEMS?

3. What describes the reading habits of Grade 6 Students in terms of:


3.1. frequency of Grade 6 students who like to read;
3.2. Frequency of Grade 6 students by type of reader;
3.3 Frequency of Grade 6 Students in terms of of how often they read reading materials?
4. What describes the reading interest of Grade 6 Students’ in terms of:
4.1 Frequency of what they enjoy to read;
4.2 Frequency of how they choose what to read;
4.3. Frequency of how do they get books
4.4. Frequency of how do they oftern use a computer, laptop, mobile phone or iPad (etc.)?
