Narrative Report:

The type of flower arrangement that is assigned to us is the Lazy-S or Hogarth’s

Curve Arrangement, this type of arrangement is an S-shaped line appearing within an
object. Nineteenth-century English artist William Hogarth believed that a curved line
signifies liveliness and stimulates the attention of the viewer, in contrast with a straight
line that signifies stasis and death.

First, we gently place the floral foam on the top of the water let it soak naturally,
so that the flower will not become dehydrated or die. While we soak the floral foam, we
prepare other materials such as the vase and the flowers that we needed. And then we
put the vase to the center of the table. After that, we put the floral foam inside the vase
to start our flower arrangement. To create a Hogarth’s Curve arrangement, we need to
bend slightly the palmera, the violet orchid and white orchid as a filler flower to form a
curve and insert them into place so that it will give balance. And then, add the other filler
flower such as the astro and the red rose. And then insert the focal flower which is the

star gazer to the center. Lastly, insert those filler flower to fill the
space of the vase.
