WHAT IS COVID?
COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a recently
discovered corona virus. Coronaviruses are a large
family of diseases that may cause sickness in humans
or animals. The virus is able to spread through droplets
of saliva or emission from the nose. The majority of
people who obtain this disease will experience mild to
moderate respiratory illness and recover without
necessary medical treatment. However, older people
with serious medical conditions such as diabetes and
cancer are much more likely to acquire the corona
virus and develop serious respiratory infection.
