Video “Expressing a point of view”

A. What to do?

Record a video expressing to what extend you agree or disagree with Dan Pink’s
view on motivation using the present perfect, phrasal verbs, and other functions
practiced in this learning activity.

B. How to do it?

1. Click on the video The surprising truth about what motivates us

necessary and take notes. If there is any word you don’t understand, go to
www.wordreference.com and look it up.

2. Read your notes, decide if you agree or disagree with his position, and record a
video expressing your opinion.

Sample

I don’t agree with his opinion. I have had many different jobs in my life and
the most important factor has always been money. For money, people get up
earlier, work out harder, and are able to do the impossible. You need money
if you want to take care of your family. When I am looking for a job, I always
think about the salary first. I have had many different jobs where the pay has
been good and the work has been repetitive and monotonous. This is not a
problem for me. I am good at learning anything. I just need the right
incentive. In my case, this incentive is money.
 My script

My opinion on the video I do not agree, when one looks for a job, the first thing
one thinks is how much is the salary! Because I consider, that it is the first
motivation, and if they are challenges, one wants to fulfill the objective that is
to win, and if it is money it is an incentive, unfortunately, when it becomes a
need there are people who do not care what they have to do to get it, if there is
no money, no food, no clothing, now in the century that we are, money matters
more than anything else, and I believe that when money is used to promote an
activity, it is due to I endeavor that any job would go to get the award, however
there are other motivations even if recognition is very useful and simple, the
most important thing is to recognize performance.
