packs that are connected in parallel, set Battery Cap.-1#
(Ah)
to 400 Ah, which is the sum of two battery packs.
Battery Cap.-4 0 Caution: If a battery branch is equipped with no battery,
(Ah) set the corresponding battery capacity to 0. An incorrect
battery capacity setting will cause the CSU to fail to
manage the batteries.
Buzzer Switch Enabled To decide whether the buzzer can sound in response to
alarms of certain levels. Set it to actual needs.

Cycle parameter strictly according to the actual battery type.
Batt.
Diesel GEN Start Volt. 47.0 This parameter is activated when VOL is contained in the
Generator (V) AC Control Mode parameter.
Parameters If voltage of DC busbar falls below this parameter, the

To set the operational mode, users can select Para.Set > Batt.Para. > Work Mode.
In any operational mode, the rectifiers reach their current limit and decrease their output
voltage if the load current is higher than the sum of the rated current of all operating
rectifiers. As a result, the batteries will be discharged.
4-1
à In Auto Save Mode, the CSU calculates the number (N) of required rectifiers in
real time and sets excess rectifiers in sleep mode. In this way, the number (M)
of normally operating rectifiers can be equal to N, and the rectifiers can operate
at their peak efficiency. The CSU calculates N by tracking the total load current
and battery charging current in real time.
à In Auto Save Mode, the CSU arranges the rectifiers work in shifts according to a
period parameter. The process is as follows: The CSU activates the rectifier that
has been in sleep mode for the longest period of time, and then sets the one that
has operated for the longest period of time into sleep mode. In this process, the
CSU ensures three-phase balance as its priority and that M is equal to N.
The rectifier shift period can be set and related parameter is SMR Rotated
Period , 7 days by default. When this parameter is set to 0, the shifts are
disabled.
l Auto NonSave Mode
If Auto Save Mode fails, the system automatically switches to Auto NonSave Mode
and activates all the rectifiers. When the saving conditions are satisfied again, it
automatically switches back to Auto Save Mode.
Temp.NonSave Ctrl.
In Temp.NonSave Ctrl. sub-mode, the system:
1. Activates all the rectifiers first.
2. Switches to Auto Save Mode after the period of the Temp.NonSave Delay (24 hours
by default).
Perm.NonSave Ctrl.
In Perm.NonSave Ctrl. sub-mode, the system activates all the rectifiers and stays in this
sub-mode unless it is manually set to another operational mode.
In Safe mode, the CSU calculates the number (N) of required rectifiers in real time and
performs the N+1 backup. The CSU calculates N by tracking the total load current and the
highest battery charging current in real time.
When the CSU detects that the number (M) of normally operating rectifiers is less than
N+1, it activates the rectifiers that are currently in sleep mode until M equals N+1. After
that, the CSU does not set excessive rectifiers in sleep mode when N decreases.

Free mode is for system debugging. Only professional maintenance personnel can use
this mode.

Caution!
This function protects the LLVD1 and LLVD2 loads but not the BLVD loads.
7-1
l LLVD2 function
After the CSU disconnects the LLVD1 loads, the batteries continue with discharging.
When the battery discharging meets the prerequisite for LLVD2, the CSU disconnects
the LLVD2 loads.
l Battery Low Voltage Disconnect (BLVD) function
After the CSU disconnects the LLVD2 loads, the batteries continue with discharging.
When the battery discharging meets the prerequisite for BLVD, the CSU disconnects
the batteries and the BLVD loads.
Related components are necessary to realize the disconnection functions.
Related Software
In addition to the necessary components, related parameters need to be set in the CSU
so that the CSU can perform the disconnection functions. The menu path is Para.Set >
Batt.Para. For a description of these parameters, refer to Table 7-1.

Note:
The Batt.Volt. option always come into effect no matter which option is selected. The
reason is that the PowerOff Time and Batt.Rem.Cap. options might have errors. For
an example, if the battery voltage is lower than LLVD1 Voltage despite that the remaining
battery capacity is higher than LLVD1 Capacity, the CSU still performs the LLVD1 function.
