The exterior model of the Aerosoft A318/A319 is divided in 6 large texturing parts:
_EXTNOSE: contains central fuse from nosetip to aft of the emergency doors. ("C"and "S" is to save as flipped
DXT5, no mipmapping)
_EXTTAIL: contains central fuse from behind emer doors to APU exhaust including the vertical stabilizer ("C"
and "S" to save as flipped DXT5, no mipmapping, nightmap "L" to save as flipped DXT3)
_EXTBELLY: contains the belly section and turbine main hull ("C" and "S" to save as flipped DXT5, no mipmapping)
_EXTELEVATOR: contains the elevator surface ("C" to save as flipped DXT5, no mipmapping)
_EXTWINGS: contains the wing surface and the engine pylons ("C" and "S" to save as flipped DXT5, no
mipmapping)

AIRBUSX_V2_VC_MAINPANEL_"C" and "L": contains day and night version of the cockpit main panel for insertion
of aircraft IDs via prepared text layer (to save as nonflipped DXT3)
The color textures with end label "_C.PSD" are the RGB value textures, which define the color and brightness of the
surfaces. Included in that 32bit texture is an alpha channel, which defines the strength of the environmental
reflections. The more blackish it is, the more strong the reflections become displayed.
The specular texture with the end label "_S.PSD" contain the information of colour and strength for the specular
hilight of glossy surfaces. Included in that 32bit texture is an alpha channel, which contains information of the
wideness (or size) of the specular hilight. The brighter the pixels in the alpha channel are, the smaller the hilight
gets (interesting for very clean and glossy surfaces). The darker the alpha channel pixels get, the more wide the
hilight gets defined. Good usage is here for more matte or dull surfaces.
Those four independent components color, reflection, specular strength and specular area enable you to create
almost any material.
Additionally there exist special versions of the tail texture with the naming convention
AS_A31X_EXTTAIL_PL2WIN_*.PSD". Those are for the A31X versions with added seatrows and contain one
windowpair more at the rear end already painted in. They come with a corresponding special external model set
that also bears the convention "_PL2WIN".

I wish you happy painting!

Kindest Regards
Stefan Hoffmann
