Welcome to the printing and assembly guide outline the options for printing (detail and simple,
for Starship: Shuttle Alpha from 2nd Dynasty. In small print bed and large print bed), as well as how

A Note on OpenLOCK
We use the OpenLOCK clip from Printable Scenery. The clip is available for
free from their website:

Overview
The craft is printed in two sections, the interior, OpenLOCK Clips. The top of the exterior is designed

Exterior
The exterior of the craft is composed of a variety of larger parts that require some assembly. No glue is
necessary, as everything fits together with OpenLOCK parts.

Print Count
You will need to print:
z 45 × OpenLOCK clips
z 2 × Shuttle Alpha – Engine.stl or Shuttle Alpha – Engine Alternative1.stl (from the Propulsion folder in
the main folder)
z 2 × Shuttle Alpha - Thruster.stl (from the Propulsion folder in the main folder)
z 1 × Shuttle Alpha - Cockpit Screen.stl (from the F­ uselage folder in the main folder, transparent ­plastic
preferable)
z One each of everything else in the Fuselage folder

Print Settings
The shuttle prints well at 150 microns.

Supports
Supports are only needed for the following files:
z Shuttle Alpha - Nose.stl
z Shuttle Alpha - Rear Upper Fuselage.stl
z Shuttle Alpha - Rear Upper Fuselage (Mirror).stl
z Shuttle Alpha – Rear Lower Fuselage.stl
z Shuttle Alpha – Rear Lower Fuselage (Mirror).stl
Print Bed folder provides options for those with larger print beds.

Detail Pass
The recently created detail pass adds new versions of each file in its own folder. In addition, a Large
Print Bed folder provides options for those with larger print beds.

Print Count
You will need to print:
z 46× OpenLOCK clips
z 3× Shuttle Alpha - Landing Gear Detail 1.0.stl
z 2× Shuttle Alpha - Thruster Detail 1.0.stl (engines)
z 2× Shuttle Alpha - Thruster.stl (from the propulsion folder in the main folder)
z 1× Shuttle Alpha - Cockpit Screen.stl (from the ­Fuselage folder in the main folder, transparent ­­plastic
preferable)
z One each of everything else

Print Settings
You may want to go down to 100 microns for the Tip: The detail passes really benefit from single

We recommend using custom supports, as ­otherwise many of the OpenLOCK ports will be automatically
filled with unnecessary plastic if you auto generate.

Large Print Bed Versions


The Large Print Bed versions of the detail passes printing and with fewer clips and seams.

Assembly

1 Start by snapping the lower sections together in segments:

2 Assemble the lower fuselage.

4 Place the assembled floor plan in the lower fuselage. You may want to wait
with the ramp tile until last, unless you are printing the ramp up position.

5 Put the screen in place, or just go without.

6 Assemble the upper fuselage (1), connecting the front part last (2).

7 Clip the upper fuselage into the lower fuselage.

8 Clip the engines and the thrusters to their ports. These are articulated
and can move.

9 And then you have completed the assembly.

Interior
The interior is modular. This means essentially, you can combine interior parts to be whatever you like.

Assembly
The cabin is composed of the pilot console, four The final section is made up of four II Half-S-Wall
