TASK DESCRIPTION

Make a video of yourself talking about your talent and the activities you like doing related to that
talent and showing what you can do. Use the grammar and vocabulary contents you have studied
in Topics 6 and 7.

STEPS

1. Use your cellphone camera / digital camera to film yourself. Ask someone to film you if
possible.
2. In the first part of the video, say your full name and talk about your talent.
Talk about what you can do (I can dance). Mention the things you like doing that are related
to that talent (I like pop music, I like dancing on Fridays, I like practicing in my room…).
3. After this description, show what you can do for 1 minute.
4. Include an extract of previous samples of your talent (previous videos, works of art you
made, pictures, etc.) for at least 30 seconds.
5. Upload your video to youtube.
6. Upload your youtube video to your online portfolio.
7. Watch your classmates’ videos.
8. Your teacher will create a poll using https://www.easypolls.net/. You will have to vote for the
three classmates you think are the most talented. The results will be shared in class by your
teacher. In class, you will have to give the reasons why you chose your winners.

PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

1. The video has to include all the information and the elements described above.
2. At the beginning of the video, talk for at least 40 seconds.
3. Speak loudly and clearly.
4. You have to upload your video to youtube and share the video link on your portfolio.
5. Pronunciation and grammar have to be accurate.
6. The complete video has to be at least 2 minutes long.

TASK DESCRIPTION

Create a digital story (video story) including the products created for TASKS 1 (My Family and I), 2
(My House and My Neighborhood) and 3 (My talents). This final task is a collection of all the
previous tasks in a coherent digital story about the main aspects of your life.

This final task includes all the grammar and vocabulary contents in topics 1-7.

STEPS

1. Use the video editor that is already installed on your computer (Moviemaker [Windows]–
iMovie [Mac]). Create a new video project.
2. Create an intro title for your video including the name of the task (A DAY IN MY LIFE) and
your name.
3. Follow the instructions for each section:

a. MY FAMILY AND I:
- Create an intro title for this section.
- Upload your infographic.
- Record yourself reading the infographic while showing it.

b. MY HOUSE AND MY NEIGHBORHOOD:


- Create an intro title for this section.
- Upload the pictures you used in your gallery.
- Record yourself reading the description you wrote for each photo for TASK 2 (My
House and My Neighborhood) while showing each picture.

c. MY TALENTS:
- Create an intro title for this section.
- Upload the video you created for TASK 3 (My Talents).
- Create a closing title for the digital story.

4. Add background music at a low volume.


5. Download your video and upload it to www.youtube.com
6. Upload your youtube video to your online portfolio.
7. Get in groups of three and make sure you watch your classmates’ videos.
8. Fill the following chart with the information from the videos you watched:
