your week
Life at home can
be nice too!
Lockdown
Staying at home is tough and
knowing what you can do to stay
positive is a challenge.

You might not even know it, but you

are building resilience. Staying
positive and creating your own
mindfulness moments is sooo
important right now!
Resilience
Resilience is the ability to ‘bounce back’ during or after difficult
times and get back to feeling as good as before.

It’s also the ability to adapt to difficult circumstances that you can’t
change and keep on thriving. In fact, when you’re resilient, you can
often learn from difficult situations.

Resilience is about being realistic, thinking rationally, looking on

the bright side, finding the positives, expecting things to go well
and moving forward, even when things seem bad.
Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to

be fully present, aware of where we are
and what we’re doing, and not overly
reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going
on around us.

It’s more than just mediation… it’s doing

things that make you feel happy, which can
take your mind off of everything else.
How are resilience and
mindfulness connected
you ask...?
Well some ways to build resilience is to take care of yourself,
share your emotions, and staying positive in the face of
difficulty according to the American Psychological
Association. Your mindfulness activities will help you take
better care of yourself, communicate what you are feeling in
the moment and make you feel good, which helps your
positivity.
LOTS of people
(Maybe even everyone) are suffering from
anxiety, loneliness, stress and/or fear due to the
lockdown. If you’re one of them, remember: you’re
not alone!
