Field Definition

This indicates the usability of material in special functions, for example, material can be used for testing or is going
to be discontinued, so the MRP doesn't take it into account when it runs. This setting could restrict the use of
material in a particular function.
This is an indicator showing the importance of the material in terms of stock availability.
Indicates at which stock level MRP should create a new order (either procurement or production order).
MRP controller responsible for maintaining the planning data of a material and manages production of a material.
It represents a day on which the planning is performed. It is defined in customizing and assigned to a material.
There are various types of MRP that can be utilized, e.g., PD-for MRP in ECC, X0-Planning in APO
Defines the procedure used by the system in order to calculate the procurement or production quantity of the
material.
Use to indicate the boundaries for lot size
Use to indicate the boundaries for lot size
Use to indicate a fixed quantity to be used
it is used in procurement for rounding the procurement quantity to a value of multiple of the number entered here.

here you can choose if your material has internal production (our case), external procurement, or both types of
procurements are possible.
Used to override the procurement type
here you will maintain the storage location that is copied throughout the production documents. If this is a production
component this marks the location from which the goods issue is posted, or if it's produced material it annotates a
location to which the material receipt is posted.
you can set up this value that represents needed time in days for goods to be inspected and placed into appropriate
storage location.
this represents a key used for determination of the floats required for scheduling an order. It is defined in
customizing and is supplied by your MRP controllor or PP administrator.
Procurement Date = Opening Period + Planned Delivery Time + GR Processing time
quantity in base UOM to use as a safety stock
Safety stock in never allowed to drop below this value.
determines if backflush indicator is to be set in the production order.
if checked, indicates that this material can also be used as a co-product.
this identifies a bill of materials item as a bulk material. This is important as requirements of bulk materials are not
relevant for the MRP.
indicates if material is to be planned/forecast monthly, weekly, yearly, daily etc.
used for grouping the planning strategies, for example, this can be set to Make to Order, Make to Stock etc.
In most cases, material types and/or material ABC classification influences the decision which strategy group
material should be assigned.
this controls how system will consume requirements. In backward mode sales, orders, dependent requirements or
material reservations consume planned independent requirements that lie before the requirements date while in
forward mode they consume planned independent requirements that lie after the requirements date.
number of day used as a consumption threshold in forward consumption mode. Can be set from 1 to 999 days but
usually not longer than several days.
number of day used as a consumption threshold in backward consumption mode. Can be set from 1 to 999 days but
usually not longer than several days.
"0001" represents machine type
Manual changes can be done within this horizon but system creates receipts beyond this horizon

Within this horizon system does not plan anything

The number of days in which the distribution demand is taken into account for calculating deployment
Where Supply Network Planning ends and Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) begins
The number of days, beginning with the start of the heuristic run, during which the system does not plan any stock
transfers. The system does not generate planned distribution receipts within this horizon but postpones them until
the first day after the stock transfer horizon
The quantity available for distribution in the future. Receipts beyond this period are too uncertain to confirm by
deployment
The push horizon for deployment when using the safety stock
The logic that the system uses during deployment calculations to generate distribution proposals
If demand exceeds supply, the system can use fair share logic to calculate deployment on the available to deploy
(ATD) quantity. These rules allow for alternative methods of allocating a restricted supply of a product to the demand
sources
Push rules are used in Supply Network Planning to calculate deployment when the available to deploy (ATD)
quantity covers demand
A horizon in calendar days in which the forecast is not regarded as part of total demand
Use of the exact lot size in production planning calculations
Use of a fixed lot size in production planning calculations. It also specifies the quantity that is to be ordered or
produced in the event of undercoverage
Use of a period lot-sizing procedure and the associated type (day, week, etc.)
Use of a reorder point procedure and the type of procedure
The number days the stock on hand and planned receipts of a material are to suffice to cover requirements existing
at the time of planning
Minimum quantity for procurement
Maximum quantity for procurement
The target stock level represents a value for the available warehouse stock/stock on hand that is to be achieved
through planning.
The value to the multiple of which the system rounds up the procurement quantity
The number days stock on hand and planned receipts of a material should suffice to cover requirements existing at
the time of planning
The number of days stock on hand and planned receipts of a material should suffice to cover requirements existing
at the time of planning
The indicator for determining the availability date. You can choose between requirement date = availability date and
the availability date from the period factor
The point in time in a certain period at which the system is to generate receipt due dates/times. The validity relates
to period lot-sizing procedures.
The method used to calculate the safety stock
Percentage specifying the proportion of pending requirements that is to be covered by warehouse stock (stock on
hand)
The quantity that is to satisfy an unexpectedly high requirement in the coverage period
The quantity that is to satisfy an unexpectedly high requirement in the coverage period
The quantity that is to satisfy an unexpectedly high requirement in the coverage period
The time between the delivery or production of a product and its availability as stock on hand
The time between the withdrawal of a product from warehouse stock on hand and its transportation
How the product is procured (external procurement, in-house production, external or in-house production, external
procurement planning)
The number of calendar days required to acquire the product or service through external procurement
The location that the lane will Start from…..Source location.
The location that the lane will end up at……Destination or Target location.
