I. Executive Summary
Job is necessary to a person to provide the needs of its family or even for
himself/herself. Finding job that will fit to a person is very hard at the first place because
first, there might be no available vacant position and second, there are requirements that
an individual does not have like college degree. College degree makes a person have a
higher chance to get a better job with enough salary but with those that do not have,
simple job is enough even the salary or wage is not good enough to sustain needs.
Climate change and global warming is such phenomenon that anyone cannot
control but everyone believes that this is made by humans. Technology brought us on
this. Vehicles, factories, chemicals and many other toxins and pollutants causing harm to
the environment cannot be stopped. Sad to say but it seems impossible to solve the
environmental problems and now it is still getting worst. Stopping the climate change is
not the action of this social enterprise but to help on reducing wastes and some harmful
exhaust gases by establishing a social enterprise called EchoCO-fruit Jam.

fruits to be used in production of jams and chocolates such as: macapuno, banana, cacao,
rambutan, jackfruit, and mango. The reason in choosing trees bearing fruit is to help the
environment and lessen the exhaust gases going to the atmosphere even a little bit
because change start in a little. In order to reduce the wastes thrown away especially
single use plastics, this social enterprise is aiming to buy ecobricks to be used for tree
guard and small structures.

VI. Products
Well, our fruit jams were made with fresh fruits from one of the best sources of fruits
here in the Philippines. Our product has its different flavors such as mango, rambutan,
banana, guyabano, jackfuit, cacao and macapuno. In the first place, our product was made
manually, so there's assurance that our product was made clean through complete hygiene
equipment and personal protective equipment. Also employees who produced jams are well
trained and oriented about hygiene procedures before producing jams and other product. On
the other hand, we also make chocolates. Those chocolates were made of cacao, and it is also
processed manually. So, what is the product packaging we used? In our fruit jams, the
product packaging we used was jars, with sizes such as small, medium and large. Next is our
chocolates, we used biodegradable materials as its product packaging like plastic container
that can be use multiple times. As one of our objectives is to help our environment, we used
eco-friendly materials to reduce single-use plastics which harm our environment. We
produced affordable products but also a satisfying and delicious one. More than that,
consumers will also be beneficial in many ways.
It is common that fruit jams contain sugar. There is no doubt, but as we heard of sugar,
we already think it will make us fat and gain weight, especially for people who mind their
weight. Jams are not bad because it contributes a lot to gain a healthy body. Did you know
fruits are a great source of energy as it added to produce fruit jams? A solution is that we just
need to look of how much we eat. Because jams helps to maintain a healthy weight as we
follow the recommended serving sizes. Another, is it helps to reduce the risk of stroke, heart
attack and all other potential cardiovascular diseases. It's also a great cancer fighting. Jams
help to reduce the risk of developing various cancers and also a best source of nutrition when
it was made of fully ripened fruits. These are just some of the facts information about jams
and how healthy it is.
Lastly, EchoCO-fruit Jam will also sell fruits, can be harvested personally or exported to
other places, once the farm is extended and able to supply the production of jams and
chocolates. People will be benefited, specifically health benefits, as the fruits came from our
farms are healthier and is 100% natural.

Competitors
1. Auro
Made from cacao beans grown in Paquibato and Saloy, Davao del Sur, Auro’s dark chocolate
has hints of green tea, raisin, and earthy notes. In seeking variety, they said that Auro is the
brand to try. Not only do tthey have more than 22 variants, but owners Mark Ocampo and
Kelly Go also customize chocolate bars for private labels. First time customers can try Auro’s
70 percent dark chocolate saloy reserve and 32 percent roasted white chocolate cashew, each
of which won a bronze medal at the 2018 Academy of Chocolate Awards in London.
2. Theo + Philo
Theo + Philo is one of the most recognized and well-distributed local artisanal chocolates in
the country. Chocolate maker Philo Chua, sources his cacao beans from Davao Region to
make bars, peanut-chocolate spreads and chocolate-based drinks. Chua’s chocolate bars are
mixed with unlikely flavors such as calamansi, green mango and salt, and adobo. Theo +
Philo also offer a sampler box containing all the different flavors.
3. Hiraya Chocolates
Hiraya Xhocolates are made of cacao beans from Barangay Malabog, which is two-hour
drive from Davao City. However, this brand also harnesses other Filipino flavors; Hiraya
offers its Chicharon chocolate bar and coffee Nibs Dark Chocolate, which combines Benguet
coffee beans with Davao cacao beans.
4. Risa Chocolates
Owner of Risa Chocolates Pam Lim Cinco calls herself the CEO- or Chocolate Eating
Officer. Together with her team, she creates bars truffles and pralines made of cacao beans
sourced from South Cotabato. Cinco flavors her products with unique ingredients such as
chicharon, queso de bola, bacon, and brown butter. But her best seller is Pastillas de Pili.
Which is a pastillas base transformed into a chocolate bar and located with pili nuts.
5. Tigre Y Oliva
Tigre Y Oliva is a brand by Italian chocolatier Simone Mastrota, who is based in La Union.
However, Mastrota sources his cacao beans from three different origins in the Davao Region,
Like other jams in their lineup, this French-helmed, Philippines-based artisanal jam
company’s mango variant comes packaged in small jars that are elegant in appearance,
consistent with their “luxury jam” tagline. Inside is a relatively runny jam with a consistency
we’d compare to a slightly thicker coulis (or fruit sauce)- viscous enough to be poured easily,
barely – set, with the consistency of pureed fruit that holds itself together as a heavy syrup.
While there’s comparatively little tang to uplift the flavor equilibrium, you get the clear taste
of mango through and through that well highlights its natural creaminess.
This next jar forms part of the artisanal small batch line of fruit preserves of acclaimed
Filipino food blogger-slash- Zubuchon owner Joel Binamira (a.k.a. Marketman). It has the
shortest ingredients list of the lot- just mangoes, cane sugar, and pectin to be exact- and offers
a clear, juicy dose of mango flavor with a honey-like tone and just enough of a vibrant
tanginess (despite being the only brand of the bunch where there is no additional source of
acid, e.g. from lemon juice or citric acid, aside from what is naturally found on the mango).
The consistency is more similar to a fruit preserve, with small but clear-cut chunks of
succulent, sweet mango embedded through runny, barely-jelled (if not syrup-like) base. This
makes the jam an especially god contender for use as a topping over oatmeal, ice cream, or
plain Greek-style yogurt.
Banaenae fruit jams primarily produce jams that are made of banana only. Since our
social enterprise is similar but the good thing we have is that we not only produce jams with
one flavor but we produce jams in variety of flavors that we can offer to our customers.
Market Testing
Through this activity, our business will able to know if our product would be saleable to
our target market. It will help our business to test and try our product beforehand. To
accomplish this activity, we are planning to test our fruit jam if our product will patronize by
our target market like conducting a free taste activity where people can taste our product for
free. EchoCo-fruit Jam is sure and confident that the products will be patronized by our target
market. The purpose of free taste is that the customers are already satisfied before they open
the jars of jams and/or container of chocolates
