Abstract
Atanasov (1986) acquaint with the concept of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set (IFS), as
an overview of fuzzy sets, which proved to be more useful in seizing indefinite,
incomplete, or ambiguous information, including a degree of hesitation in
various fields of study. Using the notion of Arimoto’s entropy, intuitionistic
fuzzy entropy of order- 𝛾 is proposed. This measure is a generalized version of
the ambiguity of the order- 𝛾 and intuitionistic fuzzy entropy defined by
Vlachos and Sergiadis (2007). This paper clearly demonstrates the validity of
the measure as intuitionistic fuzzy entropy. Finally, numerical computation is
specified to validate the proposed entropy measurements for intuitionistic fuzzy
set.
