What is plugins?
In computing terms, a plugin is a software component that
adds a specific feature to an existing computer program.
When program supports plugins it enables customization.
Plugin, also called add – on or extension, computer software
that adds new function to host program without altering the
host program itself.
Uses: -
Widely used in digital audio, video, web browsing and
plugins enable programmer to update a host program while
keeping the user within program environment.
Types and Application:
Audio editors use plugins to generate, process and
analyze sound.
Examples: -
AR dour and Audacity are examples of such editors.
Cookies: -
Cookies are small files which are stored on a user’s
computer.
They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific
to particular client and websites, and can be accessed
either by the web server or the client computer.
A computer cookie is more formally known as an HTTP
cookie, a web cookie, an internet cookie, or a browser
cookie.
The name is a shorter version of magic cookie which is a
term for a packet of data that a computer receives, then
send back without changing or altering it.
Purpose: -
The purpose of cookies is to help the website keep track of
your visit and activity.
That’s would make it impossible to buy anything online
A website might also use cookies to keep a record of your
most recent visit or to record your login information.
Operating System: -
An operating system (OS), in its most general sense, is
software that allows a user to run other applications on a
computing device.
The operating system manages a computer’s hardware
resources, including input devices such as keyboard and
mouse.
Output devices such as display monitor, printers and
scanners.
Examples:
Some examples include version of Microsoft window (like
window 10, window 8, window 7, window vista and
window XP) Linux, Chrome OS etc.
Functions:
Booting: Booting is the process of starting the
computer operating system starts the computer to
work.

Data Security
Disk Management
Process Management
Device Controlling
Printing controlling
