you would need and how much you could make working as a graphic designer. This article is 
helpful because it talks about life after college and once you get a job what you can expect 
from it.

Igor writes about not only being a graphic designer as a profession but also weather the need 
for graphic design school is important. There are many ways without expensive schooling and 
spending 4 years to learn graphic design and he goes over what that would involve and how 
you could start. It is very easy to read the article and he pays attention to the fact that most 
people reading this are new graphic designers or people wanted to get into the subject, despite 
a lot of people would be arguing about how graphic design school is necessary. It’s important 
to my work because it talks about the difficulties of becoming a graphic designer and what 
would make you a better designer.

In Jeanette’s blog, she discusses the difference between being a graphic artist and a graphic 
designer. She gives good perspectives on what it’s like to be either one and what qualities each 
position has. This helps me in my research because the line between graphic design and 
graphic art is not very clear and both are used very differently.

management. She gives details about working freelance which makes it seem more challenging 
but also makes the job interesting. It gives interesting advice about working in the field. This 
article gives me a perspective on some of the struggles that there are working as a graphic 
designer and input on how talking to clients is very important.

This article talks about making a portfolio and gives you specifics about what you need to do to 
make a professional portfolio. Portfolios require a little bit of writing which is a quick synopsis 
about the piece and explains why you made the piece. This will help me make my final project 
if i choose to make a professional portfolio by telling me what exactly I need to do.

and what you can do to continue into college. This helps me because it is related to my life 
right now and gives me information for moving forward into college 
 
 
My product will be a slideshow/portfolio talking about what I learned about working 
with clients but also about the differences between digital art and graphic design. I will 
probably put examples of works that I’ve done in both categories as examples and will go over 
the major differences.
