Kentucky Standard: KY.1.MD.3 (a) Tell and write time in hours and half-hours using analog and
digital clocks.
Learning Targets: - I can tell time in hours and half-hours by using an analog or digital clock.
Activity: Students will have a worksheet that has blank analog clocks, that do not have the hands,
and blank digital clocks. The students will be given different times, including AM and PM, and
the students will have to draw the correct hand positions on the analog clocks and write in the
time in the digital clock and include if it was AM or PM. Also, students will be asked to draw an
analog clock and fill it in and draw the arms to indicate the time given by the teacher.
Formative Assessment: Students will have filled in analog and digital clocks. Students will look
at the clocks and write the time that is being displayed on each clock. Students will only have
either an analog or digital clock to tell the time from. The digital clocks will indicate if it is AM
or PM.
