A little egg finds it hard to be verrrrry good when all the other eggs in his carton are simply
rotten. When feeling like he always has to be perfect causes him to crack, he decides to make a
change.

Character Traits

Throughout the story, the good egg shows a lot of different character traits. What are character
traits?
Character traits are words that describe a character’s behavior. Think about things the
character says or does that might tell us about who they are.

Think about what the good egg was like at the beginning, the middle, and the end of the story,
and about any changes he makes.
Make a chart that shows the good eggs character traits at the beginning, middle, and end of the
story.

Writing Activity

When the good egg was feeling worried, what were some ways that he took care of himself to
feel better?

Think about things that you do when you are feeling down, and write and illustrate a short blog
post on pencil and paper telling others what are your favorite self-care activities.
End it by writing one goal for yourself, telling a self-care activity you will complete this week.
