Maria Ortega Ortega Industrial engineering deals with the
development, improvement, implementation

and evaluation of integrated systems of

people, money, knowledge, information,

equipment, energy, materials and processes.

It also deals with the design of new prototypes

to save money and make them better. That is

why it is built on the principles and methods of

the analysis and synthesis of engineering and

design to specify, predict and evaluate the

results obtained from such systems. It seeks

to manage the issue of waste, as something

minimal.

Industrial engineering professionals study the

efficient use of personnel, materials and

machines in factories, stores, repair shops and

offices. They prepare machinery and

equipment schemes, plan the work flow,

 perform statistical studies and analyze

production costs. It is a very broad career in

industrial engineering usually work in areas

such as cost estimation, facilities planning,

manufacturing process design, production

control or quality control.

Industrial engineers work together with other

professionals to solve problems related to

work location, plant layout, flow of materials in

the plant, production control and planning,

employee safety and work control. quality.

They work in a wide range of industries and

fields, including manufacturing, medical care,

transportation, software design and

government, which makes decision making

easier to make when analyzing cost benefit.
