Subject How to replace DP-26VE deck with DP-31 deck (South America)

SVC Information

Symptom: Repairman wants to replace DP-26 VE with DP 31 deck .

DECK DP-26VE (AK96-01029D) DECK DP-31 (AK96-01785B)

Solution: The adjustment process must be downgrade software first before replacing deck with different type of
deck.
Here is the steps:
1 Downgrade software into DP-26VE software version (1006.0).

Here is the software:

2 After downgrade finish, Turn on set and change the option bit.
a Make sure that there is no disc on set.
b Press "repeat" button until the "no disc" word disappear on screen.
c Press "FR"(<<) – "SKIPF"(>>l) – "FF"(>>) – "SkipB"(l<<) - "PLAY" button .
Or you can use TEST mode to open the option bit:

d Change the option bit like this picture below:

3 Replace DP-26VE with deck DP-31 .
