Progress:
- Is the evolution in time of many themes such as medical, technological which allows us to live
better in theory?
 - Progress can we characterized by innovations and inventions.
- Is the technological, scientific, evolution. It’s the development of innovations over time for
better living conditions or to improve our lives.

The idea of progress in the idea that advances in technology science and social organization can
bright about a positive change to our society.
These advances help improve our daily lives and give us a better quality of live.
Social progress, scientific progress and economic development are usually considered as having a
positive effect on our society however there are some cases where this change can have a negative
effect too.
Very often progress is also accompanied by opposition because society isn’t comfortable with the
changes being made (same sex marriage, women’s rights, minority rights to name but a few).
We could ask ourselves whether progress is always positive? We could ask to what extent can
progress bring about positive change in our daily life/society?

Obama. It is a graffiti/ street art.
On the left of the picture, there are writings, maybe a quote. “Rosa parks sat so that Martin Luther
King Jr could walk, MLK walked so Barack Obama could run, Barack Obama ran so we could fly”.
It is also written on the wall: “follow your dreams”.
What is a striking? Is the contrast between the red background and the black and white stickers,
posters.
The artist wanted to raise attention. Maybe the red is a symbol for the blood shed during
segregation.
The Dream quote maybe referring on MLK famous speech “I have a dream”.
In my opinion the action verbs are the following:
- Sat  Rosa Parks not wanting to give up her sit to a white man in a bus.
- Walked  most likely refers to the march organized by MLK (peaceful protest).
- Ran  BO ran for presidency.
These celebrities are placed in chronological order. This represents positive evolution of social rights
of African American.
This painting was made by famous French graffiti artist: Brainwash.
I think this artwork is inspiring because it shows people who fought for their rights.

This document is a cartoon. It represents the president Trump and a white/polar bear standing up on
an iceberg. In the center it written “Climate change”.
The bear looks scared and Trump is using a hair drying just next to him like he doesn’t even care
about what is happening around him.
The climate change is something a lot of people are involved in, but a few still think that it just
bullshit.
In my opinion, the cartoon was made to denounce Trump action in front of the climate situation. He
is one of those who tell that climate changed is a myth made to scare the population. He takes any
decisions to try to “save the earth”. He is considered as the most powerful man in the world, and the
fact that he doesn’t take care on the situation give a very bad image of him.
