Pakistani cinema

The cinema of Pakistan or Pakistani cinema refers to the filmmaking industry in Pakistan
.pakistan is home to several film studios centers.primarily located in the two largest cities –
Lahore and Karachi .

Lollywood is a Pakistani based movies .lollywood refers to the punjabi films of Pakistani film
industry based on the cities of Lahore , Punjab ,Pakistan .

Present situation of Pakistani cinema

Now a days Pakistani cinema moving towards the success gradually . Now films are produced
very well and did a business in crores. After a very long time pakistani cinema able to make its
position back in industry . Now it is safe to say that Pakistani filmindustry come back to the right
path. The movies with good content successfully made their place in the hearts of the audience
while the rest tired thier best to impress the audience.Now Pakistani directors ,producers ,writers
follow this policy that the content is tobe good in every sens which gives a lesson , pleasur, an
entertainment to thieraudience. After along time peoples backtothe cinemas tomake their
holidays enjoyable.It will still take two to five more years to enter in a club of 100 crores.For that
we have to wait and to see which movie will be able to cross the 100 crores mark in the film
industry.

While talking about the revival , film critic and senior entertainment blogger Shafiq –ul-hassan
said ;

“The revival came thrice,as far as I can recall it after the dip in the 80s. 1st was with Jeeva , 2nd
was with Yeh dil Aapka hua , and 3rd with Boland khuda k liye” .

While observing the situation ,director Jamshed Mehmood Raza said;

“With Race 2’s success, many became film trade analysts overnight”.

Worst period

When general zaya ul haq took over the country and implemented the policy of
islamization.Then,an industry which was in a golden period started facing its downfall. Due
toheavy entertainment taxes urdu films stopped being produced and the result is mainstream
audience was lost .He also banned Indian movies to released in Pakistani cinemas .The result is
elite, educated ,and middle class families avoided going to cinemas. That was the worst period of
Pakistani cenima.

When the liberal dictatorship of general pervaiz musharaf finally decreased the entertainment
taxes which created a new wave in Pakistan films and the cinema industry.He also allowed
Indian films to be released in Pakistan which was previously banned.it was the positive gesture.
