Thanks for your purchase of a ZEPHER Safety Cutter. To get the best performance from
your knife take the time to read through these simple tips.

PRACTICE AND PATIENCE When you first use your ZEPHER, it may take a little time to master the
technique, but follow these tips and you will be cutting like a pro in no time. Practice removing only a few
sheets initially and increase the amount gradually as experience is gained. Do not try to remove too many
sheets at one time; remember, two cuts are better than one.

STARTING THE CUT EXECUTING THE CUT

While resting your hand on the roll, use your thumb
as a guide to insert the tip and begin the cut. If you
feel resistance, try a different spot on the edge.
DO NOT insert the tip into the roll at a angle.
The knife must be horizontal to the roll when
starting the cut. DO NOT pry when inserting the tip
or it may become damaged.
Keep the knife horizontal or tipped slightly forward
to the roll when cutting. Apply downward, forward
pressure on the nose through the entire cut.
DO NOT allow the knife nose to tip up while
cutting. This can cause the knife to jam. DO NOT lift
the knife when cutting. Downward even pressure is
the trick to efficient cutting.
