Procedure:

A.S:Have you guys ever written your own song before?


Do you know what someone who writes their own music is called?
-composer or artist

Who is ready to be an artist or a composer?

First we play the song one time one verse

Now we are going to teach you the song Its called “Down By the Bay”

Sing it verse by very

Down by the bay


Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do,
My mother will say

“Did you ever see a goose kissing a moose”


Or
“Did you ever see a whale with a polka dotted tail”
Or
“Did you ever see a fly wearing a tie”
Or
“Did you ever see bear combing his hair”
Or
“Did you ever see llamas eating their pajamas”
Or
“Did you ever have time where you couldn't make a rhyme”
Down by the bear

Teach through twice then play the whole song

Have them say the animals they heard

Have them create their own animal rhymes

Raise hand and have them tell the group then sing there rhyme into the song
