I choose the China National Coal Group because I found an article published by the Carbon Disclosure
Project Organization, called ‘’The Carbon Majors Database’’, in which they expose the organizations that
generate the most pollution to the environment. In the case of this organization, I investigate that being a
company dedicated to mining, generates large loads of fossil gases that lead to global warming. According to
the published, the company China National Coal Group occupies the number one of companies that
generate more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, contributing 14,3% of the carbon dioxide.

The main cause of climate change and the pollution is the fossil gases emission that increase the
temperature of the atmosphere. According to a study, from 1880 to 2012 the temperature increased 0,85°,
and it is anticipated that if preventive measures are not taken, in the next 28 years the temperature will
increase 4°, generating extinction of many species and threatening the production of many foods. I think it is
necessary to stop ignoring this issue that causes consequences for the entire planet, it is important to start
to inform yourself about the great damage that this type of company is generating and that it can become
irreversible damage. In my personal opinion, is much more important to have a healthy and clean planet
than have an organization that has only generated damage. It is important and necessary to begin to
generate conscience in businesspeople and humanity in general to begin to make change and save our
world.

This company is dedicated to the production of coal in order to supply energy to its inhabitants as well as to
sell products made from coal.
Taking into account that more than 75% of coal production is destined for energy, I think it is important to
start thinking and investing in renewable energies that promote clean energy, so that, in this way, coal
mining production is decreased in large quantities and CO2 emissions are reduced. It is important to start
thinking about the use of solar panels, wind power, biomass and other tools that allow the energy supplied
to be clean without any type of pollution.
