SET-UP

fier elbow, short (2 tube and hydrophobie fier from the unit by
pulling on the elbow. Remove short (2°) tube and hydrophobic fiter
from the ebow and vacuum (long) tube. Discard the hydrophobic fiter
and shor tube. Reconnect the vacuum (long) tube to the elbow and
‘bush the elbow back onto the iter boss. When the unt used without
a hydrophobic fier, the manufacturer isnot responsible for possible
damage or cantamination tothe vacuum pump.
NOTE: tis recommended that replacement parts, including the hydro:
phobic iter, tubing and jar assemblies be kept on hand at af times. See
the section entitled "REPLACEMENT PARTS”
OPERATION

MAINTENANCE
It fs recommended the jar, it and tubing be cleaned after every use
by the folowing method
1. Vigorously wash jr, and tubing in detergent and water solution
2. Soak for 20 minutes in soliton of 2% acaic acid. A'2% Acetic Ack
‘Solution may be made by using 2008 (teaspoons) vite vinegar in
Liter (1 quart) of cool water
4. Do not sterlize the jar or tubing by boling. Temperatures above 170"F
are not recommended,
The air niet fiter should be cleaned monthly, To remove ai ters, snap
‘ff the round air filer cover from the bottom of the unit. To clean, wasn
black fier in warm soapy water, rinse and allow to alr dry. The whe fiter
